Hey Peanut, Had to postpone the inspection till July but confident it will go well. Glad you got to see Bobby, he's a class act and it must have been great to see the Chief "Warpath" race.
Thanks for the well wishes, I'll have some new photos of the new 21' Scout in July.

Thanks for the interest Jimmy. I had my US Coast Guard inspection last weekend and passed with flying colors.
I have the logo decals, fuel tank hoses, bow and stern lights installed. My cleats came in today so I'll be installing them this weekend:
It's been kind of slow between working and an old war wound that's been bothering me but it's going ahead no matter what...
I'll have some new picture's next week but in the mean time:

To Whom it may concern,

I am a member of OSO and a manufacturer. The boat I manufacture is the 21' Scout.
I have a thread on the Apache Owner's forum called "21' Scout, making a comeback !"
It's been an honor being on the Apache forum but I believe it's time for the Defender 21'
Scout have it's own identity. I am requesting Defender Powerboats inc.have it's own
space on the owners forum. The thread has over 15,000 views and believe the amount
will grow on it's own Defender owners forum. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Thank you,

Phil Vargas / Defender Powerboats inc.

Hey Peanut. Thanks for the interest on the progress. Been busy working and making ends meet.
I installed the bow, stern lights and the cleats. Currently working with an artist on the paint and theme of the boat,
he loved the lines and the all around appearance of the Scout.

sweet! just ran across this thread. I dont think there is a better looking boat or one that deserves to be revived more. I had never really seen one till i had Jacks in my shop, quite possibly one of the best layups i have ever seen. Man that thing was well made. Keep up the great work and carry on the tradition
