Sorry to hear about your motor launch! . I got my issue of HB today, and Tyler Crocket wrote a post about not putting blowers on a motor without forged pistons. Are the pistons in your motors forged?

Tank – Looking forward to next weekend, hopefully my boat will be running. Water trials yesterday didn’t go well. The new engine was perfect, but the oil pressure was low on the old engine. Stopped and checked the oil (again) and found gas in it. Used the new engine to get back to the dock. Told the guy to take the blower off of that one also. Going back to normally aspirated – DO OVER!

Philip – The pistons are not forged, some new thing called hypertonic (sp?). Kathy is suppose to bring up my new HotBoat mag this weekend. Will check out the article and possibly call the guy. Not sure it matters any more. Believe I am done with blowers for a while.

I does not sound that the problem was blower related.
