Whats the most you can run for HP thru one ? What are their weaknesses ?

Our Mariah Z302 has one and I love how it works in around the marina/dock so I really dont want to rid myself of it just yet.

I also read somewhere (old age thing) but cant remember where, that you can swap out a B1 lower onto a B3 upper. That the desired ratio is 2.0:1 (which we have). Anyone else hear or try this ? If so, what all is required or needed to do so ?

Our boat is not a speed demon. 60-65 max is the most Ive heard one run. Ours runs 40-45 now (330hp / 5800 lbs) But if I was to rebuild the 454/4 bolt into something more spiteful, Id like to produce 425-500hp and shoot for 70.

I don't know about the b3. But if your are at 40-45 with 330 hp its going to take a lot more power to hit 70. I went from a 330 to roughly 415-420 and only gained 5 mph on a 235 Baja.
