----1st of all, Im not telling you to stay away from this boat but I will give you a little backround on it.
----There was a husband/wife team of scam artists up here in Marine City a while back and somehow they weaseled some Aronow hulls away from their rightful owner with a huge number of promises, none of which were ever fulfilled.
----This black boat was finished by them and shortly after the husband had an anuerism and a whole Ponzi style scheme was uncovered. They had managed to steal several million dollars by that time and no money was ever recovered to my knowledge. They scammed one older gentleman completley out of his business!!!
----The Feds were after both of them and caught the hubby trying to board a flight to Poland (his home country). He supposedly went to jail and died in the klink.
----Wifey also went to jail. Dont know her status and dont care.
----They nicked me for about $3000 before I figured it out and I feel lucky thats all they got.
----I know who built and dressed out the motor, but I think the 1st motor was yanked before the bank took back the boat. I believe two different lending institutions had to fight it out as the team had borrowed money from both for the same boat. I have no knowledge of the power in the boat now. I also know who rigged the boat. Both those guys worked for the husband and wife team, but had no knowledge of any shenanigans until it was too late. For the most part they did a good job on this black boat, and, of course got stiffed as well.
----I will not post any names as the wife is one vindictive, mean-ass human being.

Someone wrote to me a few weeks ago and asked about this. First of all there was no Don Aronow Jr. Don was murdered in 1987, a short time after, his oldest son Michael was going to produce a line of these 24 footers in Miami. Same mold as the 24 Cigarette and 24 Banana was used for the hull and a flat deck similar to the Squadron boats was used. As usual in the boat business, things did not work out as planned and the project was scrapped. There were a few made, not just one....there was a film made about these boats and a red one was featured.
And i was the one who sent you the PM about the boat a few weeks ago.

The boat is 24ft long. Currently is missing engine and drive. I dont have the HIN but is serial number 1. Said to be a Aronow HIN.
Someone has been messing with the hull and added additional "strikes" to the bottom that start at the front of the "bottom pad" and run to the transom.
The work looks half finished IMO....

----The work on the strakes was done by the scam-artists. Believe me, they knew less than me about hull dynamics and that would be pathetic. Its entirely possible that they could have just moved some weight around and accomplished what they thought they wanted.
