Default Don Aronow series boat?

Looking for info on this Don Aronow legend boat series?

I was told somewhere around 60 were to be made but only one made it out of the factory before Don Aronow Jr was shot in/around 2006.

Boat looks to be 24ft Squadron/cigarette hull.

What do you know?

Would have been in the mid-80s. If I recall correctly, he was shot in '86 I believe. Squadrons were built around the same time.

Here is the story that was told to me.

So after talking with some people a rumor of a Don Aronow JR. boat is hitting out in my area. My friend said that it was going to be 1 of 64 production line 24ft annv boat that started mid 2000.

The story i got is Don Jr. took a order for somewhere around 50-60 orders from the boat dealer from verious states at 84k for each boat.
When it came down to actual numbers produced it was only one.... A all black hull with some yellow and red graphics.
This one boat was produced and "delivered" then Don Jr. passed away. And something of the story is his wife ended up in jail over the boats that were not delivered?

Someone wrote to me a few weeks ago and asked about this. First of all there was no Don Aronow Jr. Don was murdered in 1987, a short time after, his oldest son Michael was going to produce a line of these 24 footers in Miami. Same mold as the 24 Cigarette and 24 Banana was used for the hull and a flat deck similar to the Squadron boats was used. As usual in the boat business, things did not work out as planned and the project was scrapped. There were a few made, not just one....there was a film made about these boats and a red one was featured.

I remember seeing at Fort Apache around 97, I think they were 24" Aronow's with no power.
