Default Got Some Great Help Today!

For those with kids can understand it's great feeling when one of them volunteers to help work on the boat. My 12yr old jumped right in there to check the plugs, fog the cylinders, and pull the batteries for the winter. You go girl!!

That's great !!! My 4 year old daughter loves the boat, I just hope one day her or her little sister will want to help like that. Even if it's just to help wash it or something, it means they enjoy it and appreciate it.

and it shows even more about how they feel about you (their dad), there taking interest in something you enjoy mostly to spend more time with you.

That's great!

I was pulling the tabs off our boat yesterday and my 3 1/2 year old was hanging out with me. He's always wanting to help daddy. Anyway, I had a couple of thru bolts that were spinning so I had him hold the wrench for me. He did perfect and I was able to pull em off with his help.

the best part is she is learning how engines, etc work which is a great skill for a young girl. I try to teach my nieces all the basics so they dont get lied to by sleazy repair shops.

Yup, had both Mom and the 3 year old cleaning the boat today so we could put it away for the winter.

It is nice when they get old enough to hang out and enjoy being a part of it.

Thats awesome!

Its also nice to see you take the time and patience to include her. More parents need to have the self motivation and energy to spend more time with thier kids, especially in awesome activities like boating and motorized vehicles.

Thanks for sharing!

I found when my kids were younger they were much more willing to help me out because they looked at it as just fun hanging with dad. As they get older they tend to see it as work, so not much fun anymore. My other daughter who's just about to turn 17 decided somewhere along the way that she was too "girly" to get her hands dirty. Thats why I was so stoked when this one was still willing to jump right in there. Maybe there's hope yet. LOL
