What kind of truck is it? If GM I'd call and pay the on star services and then have them locate it.
Onstar works off the VIN, didn't quite see that in the video....:evilb: |
Thieves are azzhats. I've been ripped off 4 times since Memorial Day Weekend of last year and I firmly believe that individual owners need to step up and take charge of the security of their possessions. My skis were stolen from storage last year and the security cameras gave me a great home movie of my sh*t being stolen. IMO, rarely is video footage going to lead to an arrest or be much of a deterrent. Owners need to band together to work on better solutions to prevent this chit.
Off my soapbox. |

Off my soapbox. Do you really think the Sheriffs dept gave a $hit about the video, "Can you make out the license plate number?" is the first and only question. They could have cared less about the make/model of the pickup and general description of the perps. We've been at our place for 11 yrs and have been hit more since Aug 09 in the last 3 1/2 yrs than we were for the first 7 1/2 yrs here and 6 yrs at my old shop. Alarm monitoring and cameras are no longer good deterrents. It's, unfortunately, a sign of the times. I think our judicial system has everything to do with it too. On the only solved case I receive 50 monthly restitution from a dirtbag who hit me much harder in one millisecond than I could ever hit him back. The restitution for my deductible and the loss of "at purchase cost" replacement value for what the Ins Co didn't pay is spread out over a 10yr probated sentence, I paid in full for the replacements on the spot at newer higher prices than initially purchasing. When your not afraid of justice your not afraid of anything except a property owner and his friend Mr. Smith and Wesson. They know for fact that they'll get off easy on a non aggravated offense if caught by the cops, just ask Chubby. You can't stay up all night with guns there to protect you stuff and work all day tomorrow. It makes me wonder "What happened to the good old State of Texas protecting us???" My heart breaks for both Terry and his customer, I'd feel absolutely terrible if someone stole my customers property from my shop no matter how well I or he was insured. THIEVES PHUCKIN SUCK Now I'll get off of my soapbox too, LOL!!! See ya, Kelly |
