I set the DVR to tape the series but haven't watched last nights pilot episode yet.
I know what they showed on Fox though looked kinda hokey. A father and two sons team. It showed them trying to raise a wreck that had been on the bottom in the Keys for three yrs. They had it full of air bags when the deck separated from the hull and went back down almost killing one of the sons.
The kicker was, the boat appeared to be 20' or under, and junk as anything in salt for 3 yrs would be.
We'll see but it looks to be hyped up made for TV drama.
I've seen probably 100 wrecks in the Keys and none of them worth raising.
Hope I'm wrong though. Could be a neat show

It more then likely is staged, as with most reality shows, but it still could be interesting. The Duck Dynasty show is hilarious, but that show is definitely staged.

I watched it and was interesting. They pulled up to a Bertram sportfisher that was totally aflame and thought they were going to put it out with a trash pump. I don't think a NYC Fire boat could have put that out. The Nortech was a 43 V with engines overheated.

Just took a break and watched last nights episode. What a joke. 100% staged.
Not sure which is worse. The big block audio in place of the outboards or the crews arguing as soon as they get on their 17' whaler w/a camera man on board.

And yeah they towed in a gorgeous 43' Nortech because one motor over heated??

One crew raced out of Miami after hearing a radio report of a capsize and as soon as they see the upside down boat you can see the red neon paint on it indicating and abandoned vessel and you could see the rust stains on the bow hardware running up meaning the thing had been upside down for ever. It's also covered w/barnacles but they go into make sure there is no one on board?

They go to the Keys to raise one of the thousands of sunken, abandoned boats and pull out brand new air bags to do it while complaining about expenses. They also report getting $1K per boat to remove them. Hummhh......

One crew (in the Keys) uses an old house boat w/the cabin cut off and a single O/B on it while the other crews in Miami have rigid bottom inflatables just like the Coast Guard w/new, twin 4 stroke O/B's and waste their time towing in abandoned boats they will get zero for??. Right.

The scenery is OK though

I have known the Arnolds for 25 years. I grew up with Ricky Jr. since 6th grade. They have the biggest tow truck company in the keys. They can be spotted in the pits at KW every year swapping out motors for the race teams with one of there wreckers. I thought all of the Miami stuff was totally bs but knowing the Arnolds, that is how they act all the time.... I would think that someone in the Keys would be paying to have the old sunkin boats hauled out and removed....
