If I remember correctly, those seat bases came from Dana marine. They are manual drop down seats and I think 16 inches tall for the mostly sit down VR1 but they come in other sizes. I don't remember the cost but prob not cheap. They are mostly billet and anodized clear.

I'm not certain but I believe the hulls are different but there are a lot of people that know a lot more than me.

Where can I get one of those air intakes that sit right on the top of it?

Default Vr1

All these questions can be answered by Kenny at Velocity
The boat was raced by Bill Parks and was extremely fast
and yes Mike at Halls knows the boat well. The boat was in
NC for the last 3 years. It went to Florida last summer and I
and Velocity Tom put the scoop on to get more air to the engine compartment last fall. It is a pro mod scoop (bolt on)
The prop is not the race prop and could use some help. Mike at Halls Propeller can tweak a prop for the VRI better than anyone I know. Good luck on the resurrection of this very nice
boat.

Thanks for the info.
I've had a bunch of Fountains in the past but this will be the first Velocity. Hopefully, all my changes aren't going to add a lot of weight but we'll see how it runs soon.

I took some pics when I stopped by Velocity.
Cabin is done. Interior panels going in. Dash pic shows new steering hub. Many more dash changes coming soon.

Boat looks great! I like how the interior came out. I finally finished my velocity and have had it out two weekends and I absolutely love it!!! I'm sure you are going to enjoy the boat. They are very fun to drive.

Did you mention what power you are going with?

The motor was built by Innovation for a defunct race series. Its a 502 ci. I'm sure someone on here knows its HP. Its got a Bravo XR drive. The bildge has not yet been cleaned.
