They ran in the high 70s with 525s. We put whipples on one and had it running in the mid 80s...now shes back getting pumped up to 850s. Stay tuned.

I sea trialed the Ilmor boat back in Sept. Nicely appointed & finished boats. Many more 496 HO boats than there are 525 boats. I believe the model years are from 2004-2007. If you do a search on the boat trader you'll find 10-15 of them listed. A search on YouTube will find you a video advertisement putting a 343 through it's paces + a few owner vids including one of a trip down the FL coast to Key West I believe.
Stainless here on OSO owned one previously & spoke highly of them.

I've been wrestling w/ the same thing sr73z stated, the $$$ in comparison to say the same year 35-38 Fountain w/ same power. Many 343's came w/ Generators & heat / Air. Something you'd have to add to a Fountain to compare apples to apples. Very FEW 343's w/ the tower & soft top. I've only come across 3 so far.

The Ilmor boat was originally a 496HO boat. Asking upwards of $225k

Pac, owner of Cobalt, had first one built and put 575s in it I think. Ran pretty good. Don't know top speed. They swaped out 525s and sold it after most of one summer.

Oh did I say they are Well $$$ built

I think he may have had a red one with 600's in it at one time. Rick Shadduck, Cobalt's chief test pilot was telling me about one with 600's & I'm pretty sure it was Pac's.
