Why was my post deleted? All i asked is if OSO is having a party at the Miami Boat Show? Please explain.

In all honesty it has been asked in two or three different threads and OSO has not replied to any of them. It probably didn't help that I said they just don't care but that's sure they way it looks.

Not sure why they dont reply? Sure makes it easier to spend more time someplace else! See everyone at the boatshow!

In years past Old School and I would hold our own OSO party at the Clevelander. If interested, lets do it ourselves. Thurs? Friday?

OSO has changed A LOT. NO where near the same from when Steve was in charge. Nothing like the old crowd as some of them don't even get on here anymore (some still do) and this for one, is one of the reasons.

My bet is because there was talk of the OTHER site :whistle: Any mention of PBN and the party that they are hosting will get you deleted in a heart beat .

BTW, I really don't know for sure, but I would assume that it would have been posted somewhere if they were.

OSO is internet brands, which includes websites for stay at home moms, to model mayhem and everything inbetween. IB is owned by Hellman & Friedman, a private equity group. I somehow doubt they are the least bit concerned about throwing a party in Miami for a couple powerboaters from one of their zillion websites. Their only intrest in you is that you look at ads and maybe click on one or two.

I own more or less the west coast version of OSO for River type stuff.. I'm going to the Miami boatshow, and have already had some people ask if I wanted to put on a shindig of sorts just to get together some boat mfg's that are advertisers on my site that will be in miami.

I've never been to Miami but I have a hook up at the Fountain Bleu? (not sure if I spelled that right).. If you guys just want to get together for some like minded cocktails and shaking hands and kissing babies kinda deal.. I could throw something together real quick through the connects I have.

Not that big of a deal for drinks and social. You guys can call it the OSO get together or whatever ya want. I'm not out there to spam my interests on the web, more just checking out the show and seeing how the east coast guys do it. :)

Let me know if I crossed a line there mods. Just trying to help out if nobody else is gonna step up, since I'm going to be out there anyways and I'm already getting hit up about it by a few people. I wouldn't expect a party at the hard rock or anything, just a place / time / nice atmosphere for some members to say hello to each other and maybe meet some industry types kinda deal. Real informal.

We had a great time in Miami 2008. Industry friend invited us to the hotel pool party.
Weather was great, scene was great and bikini show was awsome!

There was a guest list but fairly informal.
Looks like the promotion stopped or the guest list has gotten tighter.......

Glad our lowly group was admitted, it was a highlight reel night!

We get in bright and early fri morning.

OK, so I talked to my guy (like I said I know exactly zero about Miami) and told him that myself and some other members of OSO wanted to get together for something real informal.. Just grab a beer shake a hand and say hello kind of stuff. He said no problem.

So being that this thing is really informal, and no more then a beer and a handshake kinda deal.. How does the Bleau Bar at the fountain Bleau sound around 7:00 pm on thursday until I pass out (getting off a plane at 5:00 that morning arriving in Miami) Like I said just some members of OSO getting together for a beer. Nothing official etc.. Put a face to the name kinda deal.

I also heard from one of my industry type friends today, that there might actually be an OSO party after all? If that's the case then I'll politely bow out on this deal and attend that one.. Along with a few other industry parties we are going too.

In short Miami, watch out.. I'm coming to drink every beer you have in that town. :D

Cash Bar politics aside, you coming? :) This thing isn't anything to me other then having a beer with some guys I talk to on the internet every now and again. Just keeping it simple, and goodtimes. Nothin more nothing less. I don't care if 1, or a 1000 show up, I'll still be drinking beers at that time at that spot. :D

Sounds like a good idea except oso won't ship shirts to Canada so I will have to wear my *************** shirt . One good thing about it with oso cheaping out it made it a lot easier for Brad to get sponsors .

Oh He'll be there.. Easily recognizable in his tutu...

OK, I'll see if I can get an OSO shirt before then so I'll be easy to spot. If not, then I'll be wearing an RDP shirt most likely from one of the "Weeken De Drinkin" events.. LOL
