Default Spring cleaning comes early

Starting to get the boat ready for the new motor and decided to take advantage of the nice weather this weekend. I haven't had time to do much with the boat since buying a few months back except pull the motor. Well after a few horses I came to the conclusion that the previous owners used the boat as a drinking platform. There were thousands of beer bottle caps in every pocket, compartment cup holder. Along with beer bottles, cans etc etc. We pulled out 3 trash bags worth of crap. We started cleaning the seats and inside the cuddy. Many more hours left, but happy the progress has started.

I'll add pics as progress continue.

Boat and trailer got washed.

Seats after cleaning. Dash hasn't been touched yet.

Engine bay needs a lot of work. Probably going to pull carpet and install diamond plate.

Looks good! I wish it was warm enough here to be working on the boat.

Thanks guys. I'm glad I'm finally getting a little time to work on it. I'm ordering the rest of the engine parts I need to finish assembling the 509ci bbc. The engine was a 415hp 502 mag efi that I'm converting to a carb setup. I'm hoping for as close to 600hp I can get while using the 088 heads (mild porting, blending and gasket matching).

The next two weeks should put some forward momentum in this build as parts start coming in.

I've cleaned more than my share of floating bars. The worst is when you step on an upside down bottle cap. Looks good!
