Not ready but I think it will come together soon. Bought new extension boxes and 4 ram steering. Thought I would just swap it out, but never as simple as that.... Going to replace all my cables. Need to cut the tunnel tab to fit, then repowdercoat. Fill in unused hydraulic fitting hoses, maybe with transom LED's got to wire those.. the list will get longer. But it will get done soon and right.

I should be good for our Early bird at Kelleys Island the 2nd weekend of April... boats at XT for interior, aside from that I want to add A/C and shorepower, engines are ready for once as I didnt touch them this year...
my real season starts 2nd weekend of May, so after early bird I can use that time to wrap small stuff up... |

Boat looks great... My girlfriend is out in Laguna Beach this week, family lives in Emerald Bay... Looks like she / you is having better weather then us, snow storm suppose to hit us tonight, calling for 6-10" of that WHITE CRAP!!! Question, what is the drive cover I will call it on the back of the Scarab (?) with the grab handles... also we need close ups of Formula sun pad on bulkhead? :party-smiley-004: Glad you had some good weather to get the boat out. Pat |
Hey Pat, The Scarab is the boat that was "in water" at the Miami boat show giving rides....It has the Cummins diesel engines in it, with Kaama direct drives...so the cover is over the drives...I'll see what I can do about the sun pad...
|
Snowing here today. If it ever breaks, have a week's worth of maintenance/cleaning to do and then it will be ready to put on the lift for the season. Hope to have it wet by early-mid April.
|
Waiting on the weather up north to break. Once it does I will be in a new ride. Can't freaking wait. Weather is warming up is SC. Damn how do guys take all the snow up there???:lolhit:
|
Snow is melting here! Boat is AZ in shop getting repower now, should be ready soon! Will be out at Desert Storm! Ya! Summer!

Well the boat is in a storage building at the fairgrounds. The entrance to the fairgrounds has snow plowed to appx. 12 feet and the road to the building on the fairground property has about 3 feet of snow cover and the door to the building has a 6 foot drift against it. So.................. no, nothing is ready.
But I have a plan. ed |

We had some really warm weather out west for a few days last week, now there's supposed to be a cold front coming in tomorrow and friday. Temps are 15-20 degrees cooler. |

Almost, got everything done but the seapumps and fuel filters and then just the 47 small things still on the list.I think with a couple of weeks and about three cases of beer we will be ready for Desert Storm.
Last year my chit was spotless for the street party and we hit a 15 minute rainstorm on the way and rolled in a mess had to wash the boat and truck on main street with detailer spray. One inch of rain a year and it had to be on that day. |

LOL.....I remember that! We went to Mead that weekend and left LA spotless, then ended up driving in rain for 1.5 hours on the way out! |

Bump.:D
|
Mine's stuck on a lift at LOTO until the water level comes up. Looks like mid April at the earliest. Then it's buff, stereo and impeller time. And trailer work first to get it home.
|
This is my first season starting "fresh" with my boat. I purchased it last July. This weekend I've been working on repairing some rotted wood and a crack in the glass on my engine hatch. When its warm enough to pull out of storage it needs a buff, new brakes on the trailer, a set of plugs and a new snap on cockpit cover.

So, are all the winter projects completed? Boats all cleaned up and ready? Engine(s) are tuned up? and ready too go? Don't forget OSO, Desert Storm in Havi is the last weekend in April..!!!!!!! ......................:D:D........................ ... |
Mine is in peices. Glassdave is doing the transom/stringers right now. I just pulled the engines apart today. Going to do a refresh and change over to a different efi. Need to rebuild one of my drives.
|
New gauges, dash, stereo, subs, amp, wheel, seats, vinyl, carpet, bilge update, rebuilt engines, added superchargers, new props, trailer tires, lights, brakes, one new axle.
The list is getting smaller. Still to be done: Install engines, test drive, enjoy! This 50 deg. weather is exciting!! |
Had a new floor put in around Oct/Nov and had the guy paint the floor white also. Well... 3.5 months later the paint hasn't dried completely... WTF!!! Started stripping it today and when it gets a little warmer Ill repaint it in better conditions. It got just too cold I guess when he painted it...
Motor will be done 3 weeks, upholstery done just need to install, and build new bench structure. oh... and new carpet too. |
