Is Your Boat Ready for Summer..???
Spring is in the air, the days are getting longer, and many of us out will spring forward March 10th !!
So, are all the winter projects completed? Boats all cleaned up and ready? Engine(s) are tuned up? and ready too go? Don't forget OSO, Desert Storm in Havi is the last weekend in April..!!!!!!! ......................:D:D........................ ... |
Sore subject but......... NO! :lolhit:

|
Quite the opposite. Actually just towed the boat to another members house to pull the motors, regasket, and paint bilge while I have the interior getting redone.
|

|
Still need to change the starter and get a new trailer jack and hope the blocks didnt crack over the winter we'll see in a few weeks how much the boat gods love us
|
I have a bad carburetor. The only thing that I can find on the side of it says P-46. It is a 850. Does anyone know where I can source a rebuild kit?

Just tuned up one engine. Next I need to get my carpet snaps replaced and dare I say it...I think I may be all set. Gotta do a big clean though. I have been using it all winter, it needs a big scrub and wax.
|

Starting to get a little stressed... http://s1057.beta.photobucket.com/us...33828.jpg.html |
Same as YOU ^^^^^ guys My chit is in 2 different States!
Well 3 if you count the drives are still in Cali waiting to ship!! |
Mine isn't ready yet even though I generally boat all year. Interior is out and dash panels are out. However I will be virtually wrapping it up over the next 2 weeks.
|
Engines are at builders getting new cams and crap
Bilge is half painted, been working on it last two days Transom plate is off port side because of weak factory seal Tails need to be drilled and weld in 02 bungs Still have to put engines back together, send ECU's for programming, purchase new pulleys and thermos, paint black parts, run new bilge pumps and lights, re seal transom plate, install engines and drives, test and tune. Oh, and the whole thing needs its spring buff and wax :/ Our season starts Mid May, i got time but I am shooting for 95 percent complete by April 1st |
Not even close. Motor is in pieces as is the stereo.
|
2 to 3 weeks to being ready. Still have dash, new gauges to be completed and re-install windshield after new paint and weather stripping installed. In water on the first 65 degree day for sure. Then again, we're expecting 5-10 inches of snow here Wednesday...COME ON SUMMER!!!!!
|
Not too fat away. Got in my new waterpump friday...need to change that, and change the oil as well as lower unit. Getting glove box door and gauge panel painted. Upgrading the stereo, but thats it..nothing major and nothing that will keep me off the water this weekend with the good forecast.
|
Motor trimmed up on its own. Burned the trim motor. Sad part is I just turned the battery switch on an test fired the eng. Ran to get ice ect an when I got back thats what I found. No big deal. Pull eng an replace motor an both switches. Artie :drink:

I just got a few things i wanted fixed on the interior fixed, and back in boat last week
redid the whole trailer, rotors turned, new pads, all new seals, races, bearings, grease, and out covers. both drives off, replaced yoke seals, and new fluid (had leaking yoke seals. Still want to adjust the fuel gauge still as empty is really like 1/2 tank.. as well but that's the last project i think. So, hopefully all its going to need is, oil changes in all 3 motors, and spark plugs and Empalla in the Genny. but it will work how she is. and a wash/wax,. |
Well the boat is in a storage building at the fairgrounds. The entrance to the fairgrounds has snow plowed to appx. 12 feet and the road to the building on the fairground property has about 3 feet of snow cover and the door to the building has a 6 foot drift against it. So.................. no, nothing is ready.
But I have a plan. ed |
Nope, boat is still resting in a warm building until the weather gets better

It's not ready but I'm getting closer. I'm finishing the buffing and polishing of the new paint job as I type. Then I just need to pull the blowers rebuild them and swap exhaust. But this is half the fun right?

Nope, still freezing my azz off here in MI. :angry-smiley-038: All I have been doing is collecting the parts I'm going to replace when the temperature gets at least to 50.

New drive is on and shifting smoooooth. Oil changed. Boat is totally cleaned and wax in and out just gotta throw on a new S/S hardin sea pump. Then as soon as a 60-70 degree weekend comes along (should be soon) head down to Pueblo and we are going boating.
