Well, I'm not real sure how to answer your question? I want it to stay extra clean, so I have it cleaned as often as I can as a result. Most of the boaters I know like to treat their equipment the same way if possible?
The next guy that owns my boat certainly won't be disappointed with how it's been maintained.

My boat is 40 years old this year. It gets hand washed and vacuumed out every Friday evening during the summer. Also gets waxed once a month during the summer. I couldn't imagine treating a new boat with any less attention than I do my 40 year old boat.
