I think APBA, OPA and SBI award 'no time' for missing a mark.
Getting tagged an hour was tough, but racing 'for practice' is tougher.

I know of no racer who would agree with you.
Take it easy mate, don't be defensive.

Cheers.

I was gutted to lose a motor on the first leg or the race but that's racing.

Simon Wood-Power was part of the organising committee but the race committee was separate and Rob Andrews (Officer of the Day and in charge) is ex Royal Navy and would never bend a rule. As has been said before the penalties for entering an exclusion zone are tough but the same for everybody, and if you don't go round a mark you can't have some arbitrary penalty system in place - there's a rule and it must be strict!

For what it's worth one of my crew was talking to Marcus (from Cinzano) and he is forecasting a win for Warpath in the Cowes Torquay race in September as he reckons they have the edge in the rough.

We'll find out tomorrow what stopped us ............

Here a photo of Warpath in the lock about to go into the Thames:

For the record Ole is totally crazy in a good way and Bobby is a true gentleman - we were staying in the same hotel in London and he has heard of me - I was astounded! (and honoured)

Thanks Illmoredude. There was another one with a different thread title in the Apache section.

Anyway, good luck to the Chief boys in Cowes!
