Default Project: Creating a 100-mph Chaparral

Interesting project, especially for the more budget-minded, http://speedonthewater.com/boat-rest...l-villain.html.

How much different is a chapparal than a stingray?

I hope it works out.. Serious sleeper.

One of my good friends had the same boat, no way 67 mph with the stock 260HP, his was worked and would do barely 60. I wouldn't want to think about 100 mph on that hull, no way is that boat designed for that speed. Just hope he doesn't hurt himself.

I would have to agree... It reminds me of the guy at the boat launch telling all the kids his 290 PQ did 90mph.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster . This goes against all conventional wisdom here on OSO . 600 to 700 na horsepower 427 will be turning some rpm's and up against an alpha drive . Not gonna work too good .
