After that race we made him a throttle man lol. The rest is history.

Nice Apache. The none stepped hull will never be faster then the OL 51, Regardless of the extra power.
God luck with the test.
Great story! You gonna let him have another shot driving this one?

Good thing it was a swell, it wouldn't pound you but you had to pay attention to GPS at all times not to drift out to the horizon into the swells.
I think you probably did more offshore race'in then we did that day

Anyone concerned about pushing that old hull with so much HP? I know they are built heavy, wave crusher etc but at some point you have to think that 20-25 year old fiberglass has its limits.

Cool project none the less......

lol JA I have asked him if he wants to switch for a couple laps and let me run him into a couple of turns HOT. He never seems to have any interest

OL was an incredible boat to ride in. As big as she was the acceleration still made you dizzy and she lumped right on through the big water.

I'm like the only person alive without a Facebook account, so is there any way someone could post a few pics of the boat for me?

Is this the 47 with the patriotic paint that's been at Turbine Marine?

Thanks for the info!
