The newspaper link had 8/9 pics. One was a piece of hull (royal blue) that looked like the 39/700 boat that was at the Miami show a few years ago.

Svcks for all involved.....RIP

Article says it was a 42, but 39 is close enough for media work.

Article is wrong just like so much info that comes out when things like this happen. The boat is a 39, Velocity does not even build a 42. We all need to pray for the people on the boat and their families and wait until the report comes out. I have read a lot of people posting things that they really have no idea about (not on here) but other boards about this crash, it's sad to see people saying things they they are not qualified to say.

"Here is an update. The boat didn't stuff as previously reported. It blew over backwards. People thought it stuffed because of the massive destruction. Boats built very light to go faster just discentergrate on impact.

But stuffing in shallow water would be devastating as well.

Here is this mornings article from the Pensacola News Journal...

How do you blow over a V bottom.

again people posting things that may not be qualified to say for starters that boat was not light, and that is first hand from the man that built it . He told me it could have been but he built it to take the speed and the water in Ft. Myers where the original owner was from.
