Not sure what kind of cameras were on the bridges, but if the IMP had no lights on, would the cameras have picked it up?

Also, how are you suddenly aware, and concerned, about a mid-cabin bilge pump being on but not sure whether you hit a log or a boat or what ever?

I agree the pictures of the IMP appear benign, but some of this doesn't add up to total innocence of what happen that night.

Most likely the cameras are infra red . Besides, the floating debris from Superstorm Sandy came out just fine in the photos and there was no lights on that either...

Watched the opening remarks, the defense attorneys description of the bow light was downright painful to listen to. Hope he is better at explaining the law or it will be quick trial.

"On Wednesday, April 10, Atlantic County Medical Examiner Hydow Park, M.D., took the stand to explain the details of Mr. Post’s post mortem examination.

William J. Heisler, acting first assistant prosecutor, called upon Dr. Park to give testimony during Wednesday’s hearing. Dr. Park said he has been a forensic pathologist for 20 years, and performed the autopsy of Mr. Post following the accident.

Dr. Park said, upon performing an external examination of Mr. Post’s body, his head was “deformed,” showing “extensive damage” such as lacerations, broken facial bones and the displacement of his eyeballs.

“Almost the entire face was destroyed,” he said.

Upon performing the autopsy — which is when the body is opened to examine internal organs — Dr. Park found a broken bone in Mr. Post’s chest, and reported that his heart had ruptured.

There were also some injuries, such as a laceration on his left arm, which Dr. Park described as “minor.”

Mr. Heisler asked Dr. Park what he determined to be Mr. Post’s cause of death.

Dr. Park said the cause was “multiple traumatic injuries, including extensive, open facial/cranial fractures.”

Dr. Park also said the toxicology report done on Mr. Post revealed “no alcohol or drugs” in his system."

odd that there were 3 days of testimoney and they only reported on the doctor 's .

Not much left to report now that we know the imperial plowed into the whaler, the driver of the whaler was sober, and the driver of the imperial fled the scene and stashed the boat in a relatives garage. He should've taken the plea.

They stated the Imperial and the Whaler collided in the opening statements on the 1st day.

The testimony also stated all 5 were drinking at dinner.

"In his hour-long opening statement, Tacopina tried to portray the occupants of the Boston Whaler as responsible for their fate. He said they were tired from the late hour and the wine at dinner – to the point that Robert Post fell asleep at the dinner table before they set off for their midnight boat ride to bring his guests home. He said five adults in a 17-foot vessel affected the Whaler’s maneuverability and that none of the occupants kept watch as they were on the river. If they had been attentive, they surely would have heard DiGilio’s “extremely loud” powerboat approaching, he said."

There was testimony that at 11:30 PM they left to take their guests back home in Bay Head. Point Pleasant and Bay Head are right next to each other. If at idle it wouldn't take but 20 minutes to get there but they were at an estimated speed of 20 to 25 mph. I haven't read for the accountability of what the 5 people were doing for 1 hour and 44 minutes out on the water. Maybe I missed something?
If Mr Post was tired enough to fall asleep at the dinner table, did he have a hard time staying awake at the wheel ?

Surely the defense feels they can win this .

After all, I hear they turned down 1 or 2 Pleas with up to 2 years ...

Also the 911 tape proved that the Imperial did stop after the accident. He did not hit and continue on without stopping.

Once again the boat wasn't hidden. It was on a lift that night and brought home the next morning. The authorities were then called to come get the boat.
