Renegade Boats?
#81
Sorry for the slow response.....been very busy getting the boat and driving back home to VA. I highly recommend dealing with Manny. Small family business, high quality, personal service. He will bend over backwards for you. I've had one hour of sleep since yesterday at 9. I will try to provide more info to you guys once I get through this crazy weekend. But everyone should feel very comfortable dealing with Renegade Power Boats.
But this is what the broker is telling me. Who knows?
Congrats on your purchase.

The family that own and operate Renegade are good people. I am very comfortable dealing with them.

There are 2 brothers- Manny and Manny. (Darrel and Darrel...lol) One is Manuel, and the other is something else I can't pronounce. At any rate the younger brother Manny runs a boat rental business. He does not work at the shop mainly because he and Dad have a hard time working together. He took me out on sea trial. Only met him the last day.
The older Manny oversees boat construction, materials, processes, new ideas, etc.He is 32. You will not find a better person to deal with. Period. Especially in the boat business. His only fault is that he tries to do too much for you which can sometimes cause delays.
If its the boat that I think it is, it may have been Orange. I checked it out. It was in Good Shape, Not excellent. I think it was used for rentals. I don't think it was being advertised incorrectly. I also don't think he was out to "get" anyone. But I do recommend that you do your homework when purchasing any used boat.I don't think he is dishonest- but I also dont think he's going to bend over backwards to sell a boat.
I absolutely will not hesitate to deal with these guys. They run a great operation. They are using great materials. I believe they are hitting their stride in boat building. I observed a lot of innovation and great ideas taking place. They are not Cigarette.(went to their shop too) But you will not find a better boat for the money. I did not find one issue with their integrity while I was down there.
They are not good at selling used boats. The boat I purchased was from an owner who was trading it in on a larger 33 cc. Nery and Manny sold it for her. They did not go over the boat before I got there as I though they had. It was brought to their shop the day before. I was disappointed with its condition. What happened after that is why I recommend them. The service level was outstanding. Items were resolved without hesitation. New upholstery was ordered and installed. Pumps replaced, etc. No push back at all.
If anyone has any questions about Renegade or their team, please let me know. Just spent yesterday on the water in my 32 cc. Twin Yam 350s. Rides like a Caddy. Love it.

i'm not sure what you are referring to. I was there all week with them. Dad, who doesn't speak very good english, is not who you typically deal with. Although he is there every day.
