The Navy and Marine Corp, have a guideline they use for Corrosion Control. NA-01-1A-509 the corrosion Bible. All Naval aircraft are washed every 14 days, 28 if shore based and a birdbath is utilized. If said aircraft such as those on a carrier are encrusted in salt spray, due to heavy they are given a fresh water rinse. when not in operation, duct covers and plugs are utilized. eash aircraft a has a calender/hour schedule where the turbines are cleaned with a cleaning solution.

It's called water wash. You spray freshwater into a running engine and in easy terms cleans the engine of debri, salt, fuel disposition on turbine blades stuff of that nature. Common in the industrial world.

Tom, it's an amazing boat, and you are among the elite.

I think you have to understand thata my are focused on the salt because of constant claims that the turbines are fail proof and require no maintenance. Arruda jumps on articles and threads about new technology from Merc, Boostpower, and Sterling and dogs them claiming turbines are more practical, and piston power is junk. Very unprofessional IMO.

No question that turbine wins the cool factor. But loses for the average or even high end boater.

A Lear jet, Ferrari, 12,000 sq ft home, and $100k watches are not practical either, but they are just so freaking cool!

Congrats, docks will be sinking in your area from crowds trying to get a closer look
