My father who WAS an active hunter/fisherman received a routine bypass operation and subsequently l suffered from a staph infection. The local hospital (Good Shephard) did not notice the obvious signs like discharge around stitched chest wound. He was in intensive care for 3 months, his kidneys failed, and is now receiving dialysis 3 days a week for 3 1/2 hours per session. What a way to spend your retirement.
