Thanks SBX, I have 2 kinetic 2400s to power the system I am building. Real power certificates with my amps are just under 2500 watts. I was told these batteries will easily handle the stereo & starting. Wondering if I can put a switch in or do I need them both at the same time for extended stereo use. Randy

Run them in series so the stereo can draw from them both at the same time....thats the best way. But if you are using the same for starting and stereo I would separate them with a switch and let the stereo pull off just one that way you can always start the boat

Could elaborate a Lil more on what you mean by in a series? Adding a 3rd amp & a 3rd battery this year & already had battery issues in prior years. Would like to get away from them!

Its really not that close...I have pretty big hands and its not in the way at all. Not A LOT of space there...but not bad.

Series means +/+ -/-

But if you are adding a third battery for stereo I would personally recommend putting two batteries on one side for the stereo and accessories and the third battery for starting...separated by a perko switch or isolator..etc
