agree more. The British version has a priceless chemistry of them playing off each other that makes even the stupid episodes funny.
The US version is just stupid. Tried watching one more episode just to give them a shot and it was pathetic.
It's like a talk show hosted by 13 yr olds. They talk just to hear themselves talk.

I saw the UK version first (when I was in New Zealand), then within a year the US version came out. The UK version takes 1st place by far (seems like no script if at all) and the US seems totally scripted. I do think some of the US guys moments are pretty funny. While I love big trucks (class 8), the one US episode was semi hokey. That was at the Eaton test track in Charlotte, MI. My good friend that works there said that there is no way they would allow them to run at the speeds they claimed they were running. I understand trying to make the show exciting or else no one would watch it, but......

I would rather listen to nails on a chalk board that listen to anybody with a British accent! I have tried several times to watch the UK version and I just can't take it!

I first saw the US version and thought the show was cool.. Im now in Europe and with the BBC broadcasting the original version daily Im upset I wasted my time watching the US version. Clarkson May and hammond are brilliant together. I know he always knocks everybody over the pond but most of it is true and in all good fun. Beside, everybody in the US hates those smug talking brits anyway so the feeling is mutual.
