Butt pirate that's funny... thanks for input so far...both are early 90s one 311 is 89. I just wanted to learn if one actually is worth double the money. I really like the pp but again gonna speend twice the money. Don't want to spend it on just a name alone.

TRUST us you are not just buying the name. You are buying a TRUE deep vee hull that handles awesome, fast, awesome quality, and everything else we have said above and more

There are reasons the name is what it is.

Gotta ask...where are you boating? If it's in a little lake then pick the one that "floats your boat". If you're gonna get clobbered from time to time get the beef. Also, what year specifically? PP went through a number of iterations before the final design in '97.

I guess that was the question I was trying to ask. Was trying to learn what some of the reasons are from people who know more than myself.

Thanks again

You say family boating -- if you are not out pounding through 5' waves the formula is a great boat and will do everything you ask of it well
If you want to go 80 through 5'ers then you will need the PP
The formula will have more useable space .

Buy the PP you will NEVER regret it. The build quality and ride will amaze you. The 33 PP rides like a 36'+ boat and will handle pretty much anything you throw at it. I'm only slightly biased though when it comes to PP.
