Butt pirate that's funny... thanks for input so far...both are early 90s one 311 is 89. I just wanted to learn if one actually is worth double the money. I really like the pp but again gonna speend twice the money. Don't want to spend it on just a name alone.

out of the two i would take the pp but my 33 zx would relly fit what u r looking for too. i run low 80's and have every thing your famly would need. also a grate boat.

Gotta ask...where are you boating? If it's in a little lake then pick the one that "floats your boat". If you're gonna get clobbered from time to time get the beef. Also, what year specifically? PP went through a number of iterations before the final design in '97.

You say family boating -- if you are not out pounding through 5' waves the formula is a great boat and will do everything you ask of it well
If you want to go 80 through 5'ers then you will need the PP

Buy the PP you will NEVER regret it. The build quality and ride will amaze you. The 33 PP rides like a 36'+ boat and will handle pretty much anything you throw at it. I'm only slightly biased though when it comes to PP.
