Default 3M compound question

Started buffing out the project boat with 3M super duty rubbing compund..Its working but it seems to be staining the white gel coat a little brownish puke color..Went to 3M website and found Finesse it white paste compound supposed to not stain light colored gel.. My question is if its the same grit or fast cut as the super duty or not ..This things realy oxidized.

try Ditzlers DRX55, its a fast cut compound and its white in color so it wont stain the gel. if you need a fine compuond use 3M's finnessit fine compound with a wool pad, foam pads dont work to well with gel coat.

3M has so many damn compounds ..I just need something fast cut and white ..Thought about wet sanding the whole thing ..its that bad .Now I see they have this premium mold and tooling compound ..supposed to take 600 scratches out .

FINESS IT is not strong enough it is not a compound, 3M fiberglass restorer and wax works best with a machine buffer at 1800 rpm, available at Wal-mart for about 8 bucks

Finess it is more of a swirl remover. It will not remove any material. Good luck.
