How fast will will a 1998 Checkmate 253 convincor go with a stock 502 MPI/Bravo 1 go?

All Stock
Corsa exhaust
Stand ups
Factory cabin
Dual Ram Benett Tabs
Factory X Dimension outdrive height.
25 Gallons of 91 octand nonethanol gas
The Correct SS Labbed Prop (23 3b SS Mirage?)
200lb Driver that knows how to fly the boat
Perfect water conditions 1-2ft chop

My extremely uneducated guess is mid to upper 60s? 66-67 if absolutely perfect.

had one. upper 60's is right on. burn 87, the 91 makes no difference on the stock motor except the non ethanol is good if you use it infrequently. Nice boat though, post some pics. Right prop is a 25p 3 blade mirage for top end. I loved mine.

My 97 253 with stock EFI 502 ran 67 mph gps no matter the load with 24p stock bravo I prop. There was another 1-2 in it with a labbed prop or maybe a 23p Rev-4. Always wanted more bow lift than the bravo could offer to make it get up and run. BBlades has a good formula for these hulls to get them running on top.

They are an awesome boat all around for the money.

I agree, 65-68 for the 253 with the 502.

I had the 251 a 2000 with an HP500 shorty XZ drive. Had the narrow beam, it ran 78mph. Good all around boat, you'll be happy
