Nobody has mentioned the buddy that brings the super hot high ass maintenance GF and her hot friend just to get drunk and argue/start a fight where they need to be separated and babysat. Oh yeah, the super hot friend was so scared at 70 in 1' chop she was crying when we got to our destination. No biggie. I banged her two weeks later and never called her back let alone waste a good boating day on her dumb ass.

Lots of the ones mentioned including the big one NO SHOES!
Even with a sign in their face newbies still start to step in with shoes on.

One I haven't seen mentioned is people, mostly kids, that jump out of the water with a soaked life jacket on and stand in the middle of the sun pad while the water drains all over the place even though theres a swim platform.

Have not read all of the post, but a good majority and have not seen one major peeve!
NAIL POLISH! Wow that crap is hard as hell to get off the seats and hatch!
There are many on here that can go with just about anyone who owns a boat.
But the hardest to deal with is just the basic wipe down and clean up after back on the trailer.
Yea a lot of people slip, but on the Midwest lakes and rivers there is always a grime on the boat once back on the trailer, and the quicker you get it while wet the easier it is.
Several people just say Take it to the car wash! Well not the easiest thing to do.

1. People who bring way to much sh!t. My wife and mom are both guilty of this so I deal with it, but it does drive me crazy.
2. Dogs, don't get me wrong I love dogs. I have three at home. I don't let my dogs on my boat and I sure as phuck don't want your dog punching holes in my seats and sun pad, if you have your dog on your boat keep it on your boat
3. I've actually had people ask if they could borrow the boat for a weekend. Seriously dude, did you bump your plucking head?
4. When 6 people all decide to use your swim platform as a couch at the swimming hole and the bak of the boat is now so low that water is coming in they the bilge pump outlet. Yes it floats but not for long if you don't get your fat asses off it.
5. The guy that thinks 63 isn't fast. Apparently he's never been in a 20 ft boat at 63 in fairly rough water. I've changed a few people's perspective on speed in boat in just a matter of minutes lol

Never thought of that one until now.
I've got an old flat bottom drag boat. Bad fast and a bit scary being so small. Anything over a 3" chop and it sits on the trailer. Speed is easy with that one. Also have a 19' Nova. Wider then most boats and built much heavier then the drag boat. WOT is 63mph but I can do it in 3 to 4' wake easy (in a 19' boat). Now the Nova24 is a wave crusher. The bay has never had anything that would come close to showing its true potential. Mid to upper 50's mph with it but when you are busting through a monster wave doing 50 ..... wow what fun and the green faces next to me are priceless. Both the 24 and 19 are useless in water the drag boat loves.
Like you said, going fast is easy. Going fast in real water is the challenge that gets little respect.

How about the guy who chips in $20 for gas and figures that ENTITLES him to drive the boat, not to mention he somehow figures you should spend the ENTIRE 12 hour day running wide open. "Hey, I chipped in for gas, right"!
The big one for me is smoking, I don't smoke, G/F doesn't smoke, YOU don't smoke! It amazes me the number of people who will light up without asking, then when you ASK them nicely not to smoke look at you with a blank expression and say "it's ok, we are outside" ummmm, NO, it ISN'T. This usually followed up by them pouting and getting offended because YOU had the nerve to ask THEM not to smoke on YOUR boat???
As a person who keeps his boat at the cottage I occasionally have friends use the cottage for weekend in the summer, always shake my head when one of my buddies drags some skank up there for a weekend and they can't understand why they can't use the boat. I have a small 15ft runabout, but, on more than one occasion I have actually got a PHONE CALL at work asking "where are the keys to your Baja?"
I look at it like this: if I am at your house, have a few beers and you invite me to stay over instead of driving home that DOESN'T mean I am gonna get up in the morning jump in YOUR car and go get myself breakfast and run a few errands, does it??
My boat ain't much compared to most of the stuff on here, but, when someone invites me on there boat whether its a Nortech or a Bayliner I treat it with respect. I always bring a bag and put my shoes in it before boarding, make sure my hands are clean, NO zippers, or buckles, and the Captain is boss. I sit where you tell me and STAY there til you tell me not to. If you want/need a hand I will be the first one to pitch in, if you don't, I stay outta the way and keep my trap shut.
Back at the dock, I help clean stuff outta the boat, wipe it down and make it a point to say "thanks" and a handshake.
Just the way I am, it's all about respect. These toys ain't cheap to buy, insure or maintain, if someone is good enough to offer a ride then you should appreciate it.

I have these also but I am changing it to "clean feet only" my friends think they are funny following the rules getting dirty footprints everywhere. The girls are always offended and say my feet are clean, they might have been when you go out of the shower but the moment you start walking around in flip flops they are no longer clean. I just make everybody wipe off on a damp towel when they get on and problem solved.

My sister's dickhead boyfriend.....we are docking at a restaraunt in a big cross wind I tell him when I get along side hop off with the stern line and I will get the bow tied. I position the boat, tie up the bow and BANG the rear of the boat has swung around and hit my buddies boat who was next to us. Where is the boyfriend with the stern line? On his cell phone on the dock after he jumped off the boat with no line in hand. I ask him wtf he is doing he just looks at me with this hollow stare and tells me he got a call. Luckilly my friends boat was was not damaged but we were p!ssed. That same day he walks all over my bow with sandy feet after I asked him TWICE not to do it. Needless to say he has only been out with me once.
