Not speaking specifically to this accident because then again who knows what actually happened. Since for some weird reason no one seems to have any info on this particular incident but the DCB thread is how many pages long? Cig's have always been a handful to turn at speed, at least the stepped versions...imho...

if the kid was not named as a driver, there is no insurance claim or payout.

Yes, I realize this.He could've really hurt someone over a * ucking hat....and Mike that comment was not directed at you simply a general statement which more often than not people do. Hence why multiple people agreed. If you don't specify people jump to conclusions.

Not a bad hull design, just bad drivers.

That is why the Tres Martin course is so important to learn the correct way to drive.

EXAMPLE: Take an average 16 year old kid with learners permit, put him in a Corvette/Ferrari,etc, place on race course and see how long it takes to mess up.

PERFORMANCE vs inexperience, bad things can happen.

nail on the head!!

I wasn't saying it's OL, and stepped bottoms aren't dangerous if you know what you're doing.

That exact analogy is pretty much the nail on the head.

The minute you disrespect these things they kill you...

Let's hope this is the end of the mis-haps for the year and everyone has a safe and fun boating season.

What happened to the drivers of the boats wearing the lanyard kill switches on there wrist just incase you do get thrown out of the boat?? When the kid got thrown the boat engines would of been turned off immediately and no accident.
Bet your azz I wear mine everytime I go out!
