Default Pontoon Help

I have a friend that is looking for an 18 foot pontoon boat for a large pond. So far, the only 2 that I think are nice are the Bennington and the Avalon. Is the Avalon worth the extra $$ and what should he get for power. The Bennington has 40, 50 and 60 hp available and the Avalon has a 90 hp outboard on it.
This is for a very good friend of mine and he is relying on me for advice. I know nothing about pontoons and want to help him.

Thanks!

PS The largest he can go is 18 due to the pond regulations and he wants to be able to pull a tuber or float.

He's going to need at least a 90 to pull anything. I have one with a 60 and it can hardly get out of its own way. It goes about 13mph.

I may be a little biased since I work at a Bennington dealer, but I've worked on all of the brands mentioned so far and I think Bennington and Avalon are a cut above the rest. And of course if I had my choice, I'd go with Bennington.
