There seems to be lots on this troutly guy - not sure that is something I would want to read !

Pretty funny stuff in that one !!

The troutly situation pissed a lot of people off because of how he acted towards others on OSO, then get charged and plead to molesting an underage girl. Whole time claiming his innocence on here. Its more of a tragedy for what he did to her. Showed him as a hypocrite.

If you want a looooooong thread, check out the Chips, Chicks and Boats thread. It went on for a couple of years and was kinda like Seinfeld, didn't really talk about anything. lol

That was the Gerry of Canada thread.

Around spring of 2005 I bought an XR drive advertised here on OSO from a guy in Canada. I sent a cashier's check as payment which included the price he quoted me for shipping the drive to my rigger in NC . All appeared good until the cashiers check cleared then the guy abruptly stopped answering my phone calls. After about two weeks I started a thread on OSO detailing what had happened and his contact info thinking that I'd never hear from him again - much less ever see my drive or money.

Instead of just laying low the guy chimed in on the thread claiming he had been in the Great White North for two weeks Moose hunting and had lost his cell phone up there. He had no idea what had became of my drive but because I impugned his good name he believed it provided him cause to just keep my money. Well OSO members tore him a new one and demanded that he produce tracking numbers for the shipping. The guy kept coming back with more excuses and insults but would offer no proof of shipping. He then claimed the drive was held up in customs because it was leaking oil, and then customs had lost it - but somehow it was all my fault because I hadn't sent him enough money to cover insuring the drive.

His ever-evolving tall -tale and arrogant attitude touched a nerve with people on OSO. They just wouldn't let him get away with it. Masher tracked him down and somehow came up with the phone number to his home, and to his relatives, and to his neighbors, and to other businesses in the area, and they just hammered the guy 24/7 on all fronts with phone calls. He finally called me up and and said "no mas" and agreed to send my back a refund.

IMO it was one of OSO's finest hours at the Pinnacle of OSO's power and popularity.
