2$ a mile is not at all high. Depending on what the rig is, and if you have a return load. .
Allot depends on the rig and the back haul
I'd say if there's no backhaul, you're lookin at low 2s, if there's a back haul, 1500 give or take. Have to make it worth it for someone.
You might almost be cheaper, just renting a u haul down there and driving it up...
