Default Cats, VS. "V"s.

LOL. I knew it, you thought this is just another debate. No. I like them both for their own reasons. I was curious about geographical areas. Are there more cats in some areas. IE. Midwest? has more cats or "V"s. CA?.. Upper East coast?
I can say in FLA, CC's are on the front.
What areas dominated by what type? on LOTO, most of the stuff I saw were "V"s.

On my lake cats are a rarity . We are pretty overwhelmed by tubs . Biggest reason for this is it's an Army Corp lake and thus no lakeside houses per say . These people come and stay on their boats . Some of us invested in property with close proximity to the lake and have a place to stay . I know at least three of us here , all members of OSO that are property owners , also have go fasts . Two cats and a dog ( oops sorry scagburner ) I meant v . You know I'm just picking bro , that Sunny is surprisingly fast .

Yep, like Deep said, more V's (Cat Killers) than cats.

But the pontoons out number us 2 to 1 combined!

Here in the 1000 islands we see very few cats, V's everywhere!! Of course, we are very fortunate to have two of the fastest cats, Aquamania and My Way, within a few miles.

LOTO

8000 cruisers

200 "Vs"

50 "Cats"

Just an uneducated guess.

If you go out boating, you will always see a bunch of cruisers plowing, a few nice Vs, and rarely a Cat.

Someone just claimed that there at 30k registered boats on LOTO. I'd say your numbers are way low.

8,000 cruisers
10,000 bow riders
10,000 toons

under 500 high performance Vs (twin 525s and bigger)

under 100 high performance Cats (32 foot +)
I would bet that someone on here or MWBP forum can name 80% of them.

On any given summer weekend at the 10 most popular bars, it would be rare to see a cat at the dock and rare to see over 4 or 5 high performance Vs at one time. It's also rare that I see one of these boats out that I don't know a little bit about.

Just a guess. I'm not stating this as a fact. My research is based on the fact that I always go and ooogle over any performance boat at the docks (but I only frequent about 5 or 6 of the popular hang outs).

Not many cats on the Chesapeake. Or at least that I have seen. Educated guess 90% "v's" and 10% "cats" their scared of coming out Cats don't like water! BAHAHAHA
