Obviously anyone who keeps their boat in a garage takes good care of it, we all know what a pain in the azz it can be to vacuum. I sort of installed a central vac by running 2" PVC up the wall and across the ceiling, connect my shop vac to the PVC at the bottom and a 10' long vac hose at the top. It reaches everywhere. I also put a switch on the ceiling to turn the receptical the shop vac is plugged into. For $20 worth of pvc this was money well spent.

Only issue is old hoses will crumble if it has been exposed to sunlight/chemicals and they shouldn't kink when new but as they age they might kink under heavy suction. Most of the good ones are tight at both ends where the collar meets the hose but some are just screwed onto the hose.....nothing some silicon/glue couldn't fix.
