LTL Shipping

Need to ship a slightly oversize but relatively light weight pallet of items from Toledo, Ohio to Las Vegas. Looking at Old Dominion, Yellow, or maybe Dayton Freight. Anyone have experience/suggestions for best service?

I used uship.com when I had my 7.4 shipped from Maine. Its like reverse ebay. Sign up, post the size and weight of what your shipping and it giuves freight companies a couple days to underbid each other for your shipment. You don't have to accept any offers if you don't want to. It was only about 250 to get the motor shipped.

I am very happy to report a good experience. Crate was dropped at the Old Dominion Toledo terminal around noon on Monday, arrived in Las Vegas intact early am on Thursday. Very reasonable price, and outstanding customer service. Staff at both ends very friendly, professional, and accommodating. OD definately has it together and will be my first choice for future shipping needs!

Problem with LTL is getting beat up on weight class. Light, oversize skid can be killer.
Also, without a commercial account, discounting will SUCK! 70%+ discount is the norm.
Glad your shipment arrived and satisfied.
