2013 Venture Cup Offshore Prologue Race in the UK
Arneson Surface Drives would like to bring attention to this Saturday June 8. The beginning of the 2013 Venture Cup Offshore Prologue Race in the UK. Racing from London, to Guernsey and Jersey Channel Islands ending in Bournemouth for a total of 750-nautical miles. This weekend's race will be a testament of reliability and strength both from the crews and the boats themselves.
Arneson Surface Drives has three teams entered in this weekend’s event.
The first entry is team Voom Voom’s “Microlink PC” of the UK, a Phantom boat built in Sarasota FL. Driver/Owner Vee Ganjavian and throttle man Gareth Williams who just last week won Grand Prix of the Sea in May 2013, the 2012 Cowes Torquay, Needles Trophy, and Lymington Challenge. The boat is equipped with a set of #7M Drive Units. Voom Voom.com - Where winning is the only thing that matters!

The second and very exciting entry is the new team "Warpath," built by Bobby Saccenti of Chief Powerboats. Driven by Daryl Gradie and throttled by Ole Finholt. The new boat is a 42' carbon-fiber/Kevlar will be making its racing debut at the Prologue Race. The boat is equipped with a set of ASD8-6 Drive Units Chief Powerboats

The third team is Team Banana Shark’s “E-Lites” Stirling 34’ built and raced by John Cooke’s BananaShark Ltd UK based company. This beautiful boat has raced in the 21012 Cowes Torquay race and is ready for the grueling demads of the Venture Cup Challenge. The boat is equipped with a set of Arneson 1721 Drive Units.

Racing begins at 09:00 at Tower Bridge followed by a 10:30 hot start at South end. The boats then race along the South Coast before crossing the Channel to Guernsey. Sunday, June 9, is a rest day for the teams, with racing resuming Monday, June 9around the Channel Islands, with a stop in Jersey. Teams will race to the finish-line in Bournemouth on Tuesday, June 11, with a short parade to Poole for the prize-giving ceremony.
