Default Can you title/register a Salvaged boat

I am looking at buying a boat that an insurance Co totaled. All was cosmetic. The boat runs fine . I know it is a salvage and dont really care.. Its a 5000.00 boat. Question is Can I get it registered in Florida so I can be on the water legally.

Chris

Don't know about other states but in connecticut there is no salvage title on boats. You just register it like any other boat and your off and running.

From what i gathered on boats. It is kore of a cover your ass type thing when a title says salvage. it basically is saying you know what you bought.

Check w your state. I don't think Va does salvage title on boats.

check with your insurance company because you may not be able to get all the usual coverage. They may only offer Liability..........
