Just bought the fitting assembly that goes threw the transom. Will install that on Wednesday and pray that it does not leak!

well it wasn't the fitting assembly that goes threw the transom, the one old one looked just as good as the new one. The fluid was loaded up on top of the exhaust bellow the drive. Even though the bottle was brand new I tested it for any leaks also and no leaks.

pull the top plug and apply a little air, you will find it when u pressure it up, 5lbs or less will make it show

I am told that the XR drives are known for needing a new nut, and replacment seal...wondeing if anyone has used this nut and seal before?

Yolk seal. Where your "U" join goes into the drive, Remove the drive and if you have oil in the bellows, it's the yolk seal. Many had this issue, many threads.

Drive is coming off, the retainer nut and seal are being replaced as we speak......
