I like the boardwalk. They have top notch facilities including the gas dock, air conditioned showers and facilities, wifi, a store with pretty much anything you might need from local wines to blankets and boat parts, a restaurant and no rafting. IDK if they will have a transient slip available on the week-end though. You might want to call ahead to see if you can reserve something. The whole island is party central. When I go back to my boat it is to sleep. I go on week-days though.

I never have good luck going there! I try to call into channel 68, no one ever answers, and I have to look for a spot myself. I plan on going in a few weeks when I get both motors running well, maybe this year I will have better luck!

And I agree, A, B, C docks is where the parties are defiantly at!

Not worried about cost as much as boat rafted to others unknown. Leaving Friday morning through Sunday, and not sleeping on boat. Others I'm going with are sleeping on theirs. So basically what should I be concerned with the most? Any info would be great as I'm sure lots of you have done this. Thanks.
Two weeks? That's the weekend after July 4th, right? If you get to the public docks early enough you can get all your boats rafted off together only 4 out though. Also once there your there won't be able to leave, well you can just wont get your spot back. There is a quite but of parting on A, B, and C but its not that bad late, least I don't think so. I don't have a problem sleeping through it. I've only stayed on those dock when going to PIB and never had a issue with people there. Yeah it sucks having people step on your boat with shoes but for the most part they have just as much respect for your boat as there own unless you get a boat next to you with a bunch of non boaters. I always ask people where I can step before I board, I wish others would do the same and tell there guest to follow suit.

Actually the weekend before the 4th. June 28th-30. We will be arriving there around 1030-1100 am on Friday so getting a spot shouldn't be a problem, hopefully. I just didn't know if it was a free for all with people out of control banging off others boats cause I would just not go. From what people are saying on here, it sounds like its not like that.
