I thought of the RPM being higher as well, but if it is looking like a "jet boat rooster tail" with Baja's X and it being all stock then something is not right somewhere. Unless there is some kind of lab on the prop with a big cup? Play Loud 3, are you the original owner? Has there been any work done to the prop?

2nd owner, I cant 110% guarantee prop not touched, But who I bought it from at 140 hours, they never used it, and a deep lake in WI

I have played with props before, especially in my 24 outlaw with a 500HP, ran a 25P lab finished from Merc Racing

This is a Mirage +? Try a Non+ Mirage, you'll get some more rpm and maybe a tad more speed.
If he is trimming too high his rpm would be higher & speed lower, I don't think that's it. Any Idea on your boat weight?

yes Mirage Plus, 4750 dry weight,

You should be at 48-49 MPH so that will tell us if your rpm gauge is right.

I will recheck that as soon as they lift the "no wake"......lol

and I think I have another hand held GPS to use

This is kinda crazy.....

Went from a brand new 1995 257 PQ (from a 24 Maxum), to a awsome 1994 24 Outlaw custom made with the first 500HP in a 24 (for speed / handling), to a 1997 26 PQ Legend (for more interior room), to the 2001 25 Outlaw cuz I missed the speed and handling..........but something just isnt right

Sorry but I have never seen an outlaw with a stock 502 mag do 69 mph. I think the Outlaws are great boats but they are not that fast.

.....and I dont care if I get there, I think I need to be closer to 4900-5000 rpm and perhaps 67 mph on gps?

You need to post this in the Baja Forum, lots of 25OL guys there that may not be reading the General Boating Discussion Thread.

I would try to get your hands on another stock 23P M+ prop and try to compare apples to apples, you do have room for another 500RPM.

Did you check the obvious with engine; Wires and plugs, fuel filter, compression and leak down?
