Default Part of outdrive turning white...

Sup fellas, Running into a bit of a problem and not sure how serious this is... Been enjoying the new 408sbc this year and Im putting this power through my alpha SS with a rev 4 23p. As you can see its turning white in a odd way... I dont do hole shots and never just jump on the throttle getting to 70(I ease my way) and don't really do any long runs... maybe like 6-8miles max(inland lake). I baby it... Is this the lack of a drive shower for the top gears or does this look like more of a bearing possibly going out? I change my oil every 15-20 hours drive wise and dont see much of anything of metal flakes on the magnate and the the gears look to be just fine when i opened the top cap. The outdrive was rebuilt 2 years ago.

On my 2 last boats same thing was happening, I put the Halo on from Simrek and all the white heat marks stopped. Drive stayed glossy black with showers on.

Call into Simrek, they make them for many drive applications. And I suggest a bolt-on style if you can get it for your drive, way too easy to install and no drilling. http://www.driveshowers.com/

And you can remove the white scale buildup with Lime Away.
