The latest on Jay at 8:30 PM on Thursday:

As planned Lori Lemanske drove up to Petosky this morning to get Jay. I spoke with both of them and and after a lengthy process Jay was finally discharged from the hospital in the early afternoon and started the long ride back to Detroit. Jay was very uncomfortable however Lori tells me she just left him at Ronnie’s where he is now resting and will stay and recuperate until he can fly back to FL. It will be just a day to day thing and we will hope he gains strength and the pain becomes less as each day passes.
Kudos to Lori and Ronnie for stepping up and helping Jay. Just one of the many things I like about our offshore family, we are there for each other especially at times like this.
Again, get well soon Jay. I will now only post further if there is a change in Jay’s condition. He is in good hands and on the road to recovery. I expect in a day or so he may be able to post and tell us of his progress.

Bob

Jay update:

New development just today. Jay has a sister, Amy in PA that will be picking Jay up and taking him back to her place for the next week for the next phase of his recovery. By this time next week it is hoped that Jay will have recovered enough that he can then fly back to Florida. If so, I will meet them in Buffalo, NY and will fly with Jay down to FL and help him get settled back in his house in Naples.
Many thanks to Ron for taking Jay under his wing and helping him out over the last week. Very kind of him and greatly appreciated by everyone, especially Jay.

Bob

Glad to hear that Jay is getting the help that he needs from family and friends. Ronnie and Bob and everyone else, great job to help an OSO family member. When they talk about the OSO family you guys are a great example for others to try and follow in any way they can when it comes to helping someone.

Get Well Jay!

That's a tough hit for Jay - first the accident/surgery and now he has to deal with depression after leaving Ron's.

On a side note, as much as everyone on OSO has to be envious of Ron's collections of boats year to year and lifestyle..... you have to give him more respect for helping Jay out. It's all to easy not to step up and help these days........
