Default What Boat For The Money

I am looking at boats. What boat do you'll reconmend for the money. I am looking to spend about $35,000. I have had 22 Stryker and a 30 Scarab Panther before . I have been out of the performance boats for a while. I am lookin between 26 ' to 30' . But I do want the most MPH for what I have to spend. Thanks

Most boat for the money by far for something in your price range:

prefer single/twins? as mentioned if u can find a clean velocity 280 that will fit the price range and be pretty quick, but really there are lots of options, Formula 303's can be had between 25-30k, then you have some length and twins, some baja's will fit the bill also, checkmate, and on and on, really if you are able to drop 35k u are in a pretty good spot

My 260 will be hitting the market again in a couple of weeks.... I decided to pull it off in fear I might sell it and being only a few good weeks left this summer, didn't want to end up boatless..... I will be putting her up for sale again after Labor Day. She runs great, gets great fuel mileage, looks great (If you like the look of Velocity, some don't) and needs nothing (other than a new owner)..

If you want the MOST mph you can buy in a single for that kinda money a velocity or 29 Fountain are pretty zippy with hp 500's/525 efis etc or something even bigger and there are a lot of them for sale. I have ran against Velocitys with 200 less hp than my Baja has that run the same speeds, there are other small name boats with hp motors that are respectable, your Checkmates, Bajas, Panteras, etc need more hp to see the same speeds, Smitty

I agree with this statement 100%. My Velocity 260 runs 74 GPS w/496 Mag (non-ho) w/Labbed 26p Bravo I Prop (BBlades) and a PCM recal done by Whipple.
