Well no one can say I'm a post whore. It only took me 7 1/2 years, but finally made 1000 posts.

Is 1000 posts epic? Does it give you street cred? Why the magic number? At a thousand, is your knowledge far superior to someone who say, only has 500? Maybe the person that only has a mere 500 has been busy building power and running the **** out of his boat so has no time to post.... My numbers are low in comparison, does that mean I am less knowledgeable? Not really, only in the virtual world, which doesn't matter. Far too many folks get caught up in the " he has a million posts so he must be smart" thing... I live in the real world, where the only numbers that matter are on the speedo......

I think his statement was more of an observation than a declaration. Post count is just how the other members get to know somebody. Normally, it only takes about 10 posts to know if someone is intelligent, a smart ass, a dumb ass, has a clue, doesn't have a clue, has a sense of humor or not
