Moments ago they were running 41.9 MPH which if they can maintain will still smash Buzzi's record. Now less than 80 miles to go.

Been keeping track all day... hoping the boat holds together so we can have the record where it belongs !

It seems the weak link for those of us running surface drives is our props. I break at least one each and every year and it is always either port or starboard and never the centre one which is deeper in the water. The constant in and out of the water with our props at the surface takes it's toll. Someone much smarter than me once explained the physics of it and made a lot of sense.
