I´m going down to KW for the races in Nov and I´m planning to stay from Wednesday to Sunday. I’ve never been down to KW before and since it’s a long trip for me I want to get the most out of it. Therefore I´ll need all the advice you can give me. Such as: where to stay, hotels or if it’s possible to rent a small apartment? Where do all the powerboat people hang out in the evenings? Where is the best food and drinks? Do we have to make table reservations in advance for a good restaurant? You know, all that kind of advice a first timer needs for an even better visit than expected.
Thanks!

rent Scooters, There are all kind of cool places to eat and drink sloopy joes, Irish kevins, and so on just rent scooters and explore the island. Its a blast I have been there 3 times for the races. The last time I got engaged to my wife, On our friends boat, during the super cat race. Good luck

I have been twice recently and am hooked. Make sure to have a couple of root beer barrels at the "Green Parrot" and venture up to the "Garden of Eden" late night, but be warned- may see more than you bargained for- it's clothing optional!
I would also suggest doing a lap of the island on jet ski's- great time and sure fire hangover helper.

Book Now is the best advice... I was told 2 months go when I booked that there are 4 major hotels doing renovations this year and there is 500 rooms that are not available, the Island is only so big!!
I have been going to KW for years, everybody above that states old town area I agree , you can walk everywhere you want to go!! I have been going B&B ($300 plus range per night) the last 5 years or so, it feels more KW to me then paying all the money for the bigger hotels which some are over $600 a night.
Good Luck, Patrick
