27 Fountain

I am looking at some boats. How is the ride on a 27 Fountain. And how do they handle if you put power to them.

They ride good for a 27'. I used to have one. My buddy has probably the cleanest 2000 27' Fountain available, listed in the OSO classifieds. You're pretty far away from Ky for boat shopping, but if you've got your mind set on a 27' Fever - I'd bet you won't be disappointed in the condition of his boat.

good boats.big power and handling should not be a problem.i have owned one for about 6yrs.ride is good and can hold there own in 3-4 ft waves.

I agree with the others. I often run with JimV in his 27'. It rides surprisingly well for its size in rougher water.
They respond pretty good to additional power. His is probably one of the fastest 27's around.

I beg to differ with the other posters. It is a nice boat and put together well but the ride is TERRIBLE in anything over 2's. I sold mine this spring because I was sick of getting killed in rough water. It was a great boat for inland lakes and rivers, but not for the great lakes/ocean. As far as handling it handles well up to about 60 and then has a tendency to chine walk up to 70.

It rides like any other 24' boat, which is great if you like inland lakes , anything else hope you like your kidneys.
Theres no replacement for lenght

4's? Really? My 33' PowerPlay got bounced around pretty good in 4's.
