Sportsman is still here, new owner ran it into the ground. The Tannery is all new, called the Thirsty Goat, have not got it back to the Tannery days, awesome bar, just don't do much with bands.

Meeting went good, no locals showed up trying to shut it down. This hole thing is slow, most likely a 2 years project once it gets approved by DEQ and Core of Eng.

I've never boated up there and have only been up in the summer a few times. We hung out there a lot when i was in the Toledo Ski club. We would take our bus into town with the whole lot of us The couple times i was up in the summer we always tried to get into town and maybe up to the Ironton Ferry for lunch just across the way there. Been telling my GF about it forever now, maybe we will make it up there one of these days again. Thats a great area. Hey can you get to open water (lake MI) from there?

you sure can Dave, my Dad (biological one) lives up there... the water is beautiful. We should take the Donzi up and do Boyne Thunder next year, I can even finance the program if you want.. I spent a lot of time up around harbor springs and petosky as a kid.

We also slow moving project at Elmwood Marina in T.C., improved buildings and parking. Funds are there but it has been delayed two years now.
