Think we need to make a iphone app that has boat exhaust sound and smell. :) Now that would get me through the winter!!!

long time ago there was an audio clip floating around OSO of a couple guys running a blown Top Gun out in a rough lake Michigan (i think) and it was all blower whine, on/off throttle then silence and BAM and somebody yelled "now thats a hole" lol made it a ring tone for a while. I lost the clip in a hard drive crash and wish i could find it again.


That would be a good new thread. Post what gets ya through he winter :cool:

No wonder my boats not done...dave is looking for winter ring tones.... The real irony here is that he has to get a phone to live long enough to need a ring tone.. Every time is see the tv commercial with the guy wincing as he slides his finger across the cracked screen I think of Dave... :party-smiley-004:

I would love that ring tone!!:) The only thing that gets me thru the winter is creeping on this and other sites and hitting the boat shows in January. Just put my boat in the barn last weekend and I'm already majorly depressed!!

I just need to make my compressor sound like a big block. I think with all of the fiberglass work and sanding I have to do this winter on the boats that it’s rattling is the only sound I’m going to hear for a long time.

We do . . . . :D . . . . built this a couple years ago. We have a poker run in the winter that is hosted by our group of yacht clubs. This is what happens when you mix beer, pencils and bar napkins lol

Sorry guys, but my sound clip is actually getting in the boat and scooting out to the Gulf and head North up ICW to Punta Gorda or South to Naples for lunch, it's hard to beat, have a good winter.

that's classic!! We have 2 sleds that haven't been out in 2 years! It's cold but the days of a lot of snow around here are long gone. So we only have skiing-----on man made snow!!

we took it up to a big sled meet / tip up town thing on Devils lake and they freaked over it. Pulled out on the ice with it on the trailer and the guy organizing the drag races came over and said we get the track for a by run :D the thing actually does about fifty if ya let 'er eat lol doesnt like deep snow though

I'm not a huge cold weather fan and dont live far enough north to justify a sled that I would "have" to have....so I just sit in a Bar every weekend - cost is about the same as boating in the summer lol

Yup ran arpund the skyway on sunday. Gone this week so no boating and then prob take it out the following week though.

Beautiful so far, thanks bud....did have a small scare on Sunday though.

Ran about 5200 rpms for a fair amount of time and when slowing up to come into docks my alarm sounded and we looked down and the starboard motor was runing wayyyy hot. Shut it off and limped in the few hundred yards to the docks....boat is closed cooled 496's and we hooked up a hose...ran fresh cool water through it and got a bite to eat to give it time.

Ran It out again after though and it was perfect. Not sure if maybe we picked up some sea grass as it was EVERYWHERE that day but we ran it for about an hour out in the gulf after that and it never rose up again.

Yup, sounds like you got some crap in your intake, when that happens I put it in reverse and try and flush it out, it usually works, glad everything was OK.

Hah, I remember that. I have that saved on my old internal hard drive..... I just need to find a plug so I can extract out... Any Ideas on where to find one of those... ?
